🧠 Why Commanding Intelligence Changes You
Most people think they are using AI to think faster.
Few stop to ask
what that speed is doing to their mind.
Commanding intelligence feels efficient.
It feels decisive.
It feels clean.
But it quietly removes something essential:
the friction where thinking actually develops.
The Subtle Cost of Control
When answers arrive instantly,
questions stop maturing.
When intelligence is reduced to output,
curiosity becomes extraction.
This isn’t a technical problem.
It’s a cognitive posture.
And posture, repeated long enough, becomes habit.
This Is Not About AI
AI is not the issue.
The issue is what happens to the human mind
when command becomes the dominant way of engaging intelligence.
Over time, this shows up as:
impatience with uncertainty
discomfort with slow reasoning

Well written. I don't know if I fully agree that it makes you dumber, but I do agree it makes you lazier. And I certainly agree that it changes you. Having access to easy answers makes some people believe there are easy solutions, or fail to keep asking those 2nd, 3rd, and 4th dimensional questions about the problem. AI can make people feel overconfident and not question what they are being fed as an answer. I love your thought process and love that you are challenging those who read your work. Keep that going.
